Jains are a community with very particular rituals and worship methods. They are very orthodox and restricted for Jain community activities and especially for marriage. The offspring would have to live as Jains and follow strict community related rituals and activities. The parents of Jain bride and groom play a very prominent role to uplift the future of every bride and groom. Normally, the Jain children are obedient to their parents and the ultimate decision for marriage of the bride and groom are within the control of Jain parents. The parents would try to get a suitable bride or groom to their marry aspirant member of the family. The selecting of eligible bride and groom are the responsibility of the parents. The finalizing of the marriage known as “Leghana lekhan” or the marriage fixation means the same word lekhana lekhan. The lagna pathrika is a letter and would spread only after the conclusion of the lekhana lekhan ceremony and when it send to groom’s house, there would be the accompany of sweets and ladoos. And there is Lagna patrhrika vachan and this is a custom which would be performing in the groom’s house. It mainly involves the reading of lagna pathrika vachan.  The engagement day would be very special as it performed in the same day.
